For years, I had hid my pain from those around me.
Flash a smile
and suddenly the endless questions and prying stop. But then someone came and noticed the hurt in my eyes. They saw past the fake smiles, and the tough attitude. They began to ask me questions I believed I was not ready to deal with; questions that started me on a
journey to find myself.
At the time, I hated being questioned or pushed toward the door of healing. I truly believed that I was not ready and I could not let go of the hurt, the anger, and frustration. Looking back, I am so glad they did. If they had ignored it, I would not be
who I am now.
