Book Review | Finishing Well, Finishing Strong by Jim Grassi

Finishing Well, Finishing Strong by Jim Grassi is a great devotional that helps men who are struggling with identity issues, mid-life crises, depression, self-esteem, defining a life mission, or what to do after retirement. Jim Grassi explores how men can live their lives with a purpose, working consistently towards a goal of looking back one day on a life lived well. This book has practical applications, suggestions and encouragement for balance and stress management, bible studies for applying God’s wisdom and mentoring activities that will help you create strong, authentic friendships.

I found this book very interesting, as it challenged the issues of feeling inadequate about where you are in life, and gives you steps to follow to create a plan to lead you towards finishing well. This book challenged me, reminding me why it is that I do what I do for ministry, and instilled a strong passion once again. The author, Jim Grassi made me think about what I do, and what I want to do to finish strong and well myself. Being a short and easy read, the book held my attention well. The information was presented in a consistent and engaging way, making steps to the personal application easier. Grassi conveys Biblical truth in discussing certain people within the Bible.

Personally, I would encourage the men in my life to read this book!
