Redefining Defying Shadows |Do Not Fear The Shadows

As I sat down to create the Defying Shadows blogging plan for 2015, I realized I had never actually sat down and explained where Defying Shadows came from or why it started. Sure I wrote a blurb when I started the blog, explaining a little about where the idea came from, but I never dove into greater detail. So as this month comes to a close, I will be sharing a little more about what Defying Shadows is, why they started, and so much more.

Today’s topic is….

DoNotFearDo Not Fear The Shadows

We all have shadows. We all have things in our lives that we struggle with. We all have things in our lives that we wish we could make go away. There is nothing we can do about this. There will always be things in our lives that will challenge us. But we can change how we handle these “shadows.” If there is one thing that I can stress to you, it is to not fear the shadows.

How are shadows created? by the light. I truly believe that the light (meaning God) can help us through these struggles, and help us defy our very own shadows, if we allow Him to. Defying our shadows doesn’t mean that we will be healed instantly, but it does mean that we can find peace and hope if want it. So who’s with me? Who want’s to defy our shadows today?

  1. I’ve been defying the shadow of bipolar for the past 20 years. I keep telling myself I don’t have to let this thing define me. I am still a Christian, still a follower of Christ. And you’re right. Having shadows means there is light somewhere. God in our lives. Thanks for the thought!
