#WISDOMWEEKEND | Psalm 145:14

For the months of March and April, Defying Shadows will be dedicating their weekends to sharing Wisdom from the Bible! Be on the lookout for some great posts from some great guest posters, past and new! Today, we welcome one of our guest posters, Rosie Wagner! ~Nichole

“The Lord upholds all who fall, and raises up all those who are bowed down.” (Ps 145:14) NKJV

What an amazing comfort this is! The Lord is on our side, sees how human we are, and comes to our aid! I am really very good at missing the mark on a regular basis. The enemy is quite talented at reminding me of my failures. Then there is an all powerful, all knowing God whose mercies envelop me in spite of my humanness. He holds me – not because I deserve to be held- but because His love for me has never been based on me or my performance. How freeing is that?

His love knows no bounds. God is for me. I am His child. Nothing can take me from His mighty hand! He holds me even when I fall. He is not distant, He is not embarrassed by my frailty. He loves that I know how much I need Him.   I am dust and He loves me. He made a way for me because He knew I could not be good enough.

He raises us up when we find ourselves low. There are times when I cannot muster up enough strength to lift my head – and somehow, someway He picks me up. I am so glad that He does!

Today’s Challenge: Look to the Lord in all things – even in your failings. He holds you even when you cannot feel Him.

RosieHi there! My name is Rosie Wagner, and I have had the privilege of knowing my Saviour, Jesus Christ my whole life. I have new been married to my best friend for almost 19 years, and we have 4 amazing children. I have had a life full of joys and trials, and have learned that God can truly make beauty out of our surrendered ashes!!
