#WISDOMWEEKEND | Romans 8:28

For the months of March and April, Defying Shadows will be dedicating their weekends to sharing Wisdom from the Bible! Be on the lookout for some great posts from some great guest posters, past and new! Today, I will share my thoughts on Romans 8:28! ~Nichole

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose” Romans 8:28

Have you ever been through a time where you were struggling? Ever been through a time of suffering or sickness? What about a trial where you felt completely alone and unsure if things would ever get better? Most people have or will have during their time on earth. That’s not to say that your problems are not important, and incredibly real to you. I believe they are, and only you will really understand exactly what you are going through.

Last year I went through a very trying time. I become depressed, and gave up all hope. I have God to thank for keeping me safe and helping me get better. I couldn’t have done it without Him. As I began to recover, there was one thing I knew for sure. God didn’t allow me to go through that struggle for just any reason. God knew that if I went through that trying time, I would become stronger. Not only that, but I will have a better understanding of what the readers and community of Defying Shadows was going through. God knew that by allowing me a short time of difficulty, He would be able to train me to help others through their struggles in order to bring them closer to Him.

God uses your struggles to become a stronger person. God uses all the things in the lives of those who love Him, so that they can better serve Him according to His purpose.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

God has an amazing plan for your life. He has amazing things that He wants to do through you. Are you up for what He has in store for you? Take some time today and ask God what He wants you to do. Ask Him to show you His will for your life. I am sure that it will be amazing!

I would love to hear what He shows you! Be sure to share it in the comments below.
