The Art of Celebration

“When was the last time you celebrated your life?” Those words echoed in my head today. I don’t remember the last time I truly stepped back and appreciated the blessings I have in my life. Instead of being thankful for where I’m at I’ve been frustrated with not being where I want to be. I’ve come to the realization that this is why I believe I haven’t been able to move forward. It’s easy to get discouraged especially if you feel like you’re not going anywhere.

I was listening to a podcast today by Joyce Meyer. She was speaking on focusing on the positive things in life. That sparked something in my heart. It’s hard to celebrate the things we are thankful in our lives if we’re not focused on them. I learned that what we focus on is what we magnify! I love that! If we put our main focus on our passions, dreams and goals and strive towards them, think about how much further ahead we would be, how much closer we would be to them! Once we have goals set in front of us that we are focusing on and going after we will have even more things to celebrate about in our lives!!

I want to make it that even though I feel stuck to still celebrate everything that’s going on in my life. I encourage you to do the same and I truly believe we would start to feel more joyful and excited about what’s to come! Don’t forget to enjoy, embrace and be thankful for where you’re at now!
