To Nan,
The first thing I want to say to you is thankyou. Thankyou for constantly making me laugh, telling me stories about living in England and teaching me about the culture over there. Thankyou for watching Murder, She Wrote with me while I sit there trying to guess who the killer is. Thankyou for always being there for me, even at my darkest of times.
You’ve taught me a lot about the world, and you’ve also taught some important lessons in life. You’ve taught me to love myself for who I am, and to accept the things I cannot change. Thankyou for teaching me that to love the simple things in life, and that less is always more.
Lastly, thankyou for teaching me that whatever I choose to do with my life, it’s okay. Whether that be to not get married and have children, or have children and get married. Because at the end of the day, I’m the one that has to live that lifestyle and being happy is most important.
So thankyou, Nan. Thankyou for being you.
Love from
Alex
