  • Learn a New Skill – Most interest or passions start with a new skill. Footballers, Singers and Painters all started their skills at one point and changed their life. The best part about learning new skills is that you can try one for a few days to get a feel for it. Look at taking a few classes at your local community college to figure out if it’s right for you.
  • Explore and Discover –When we look at finding our new passion/interest in life, it usually means getting a fresh outlook at the world you’re in. Travel can open you up to who other people live which could inspire you to something amazing. Even if you go into your capital city and be a tourist for the day and explore the local museums, art galleries or walking tour to gain a new prospect of your local city.  However, travelling isn’t the only way to do this. Take a walk to a nearby park or walk by the beach. Anything that will get you in a reflective state of mind will work. This will get you focused on the things that are important to you.
  • Look at joining local interest groups such as Bowling, Cooking Classes, Movies, Theatre Groups, Live Music Groups, Running, Walking and Swimming.  There are many ways in which you can find local interest groups like this through Local Newspapers, Local Notice Boards at Shopping Malls or Supermarkets, Community Colleagues,  Libraries or even on Websites such as Meetup.com (where by they specify interest groups in your local area that you can join, and its free to sign up!)

Always remember to be open to new experiences and to meet new people along the way.  Most people enjoy the comfort of living their lives in a similar fashion from day to day.  Though if you haven’t yet discovered your passion for life yet, ti probably isn’t going to fall in your lap.  You need to be open to new experiences, because you never know where life will take you!!
