Mind is a mental health charity very close to my heart in 2002 AND 2007 I became very ill with Depression.
Mind is a charity that has been set up to help people in a variety of ways it offers and Advice and support. It also campaigns nationally to raise awareness of mental health. I myself am one of their activists.
Minds mission is to improve attitudes towards mental health. They are also involved with a campaign called Time to change which was set up to eliminate the stigma towards mental Health.
There are 140 local minds. Mind offers support services and also helps people with issues such as benefits. Mind has groups set up which do relaxation painting and therapeutic activities. Mind also has a support line you can call if you are in crisis. It produces information on mental health conditions and medications.
Mind helped me in a big way when I was lonely and depressed I attended their support group and built my confidence up again they also helped me with my finances. I have been involved in their campaigns which has helped me with my confidence. I enjoy helping Mind as I feel I am giving something back to them for what they did to help me.
