#FEARLESS365 is a yearlong study of God’s commandment to us to live without fear. For 365 days, we will focus on one scripture and volunteers from all over the world will share their personal thoughts and what God has shared with them on the specific verse. For more info… go here.

Enjoy! ~Nichole

My son, do not let wisdom and understanding out of your sight, preserve sound judgment and discretion; they will be life for you, an ornament to grace your neck. Then you will go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble. When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.

Proverbs 3:21-24

Being a child of the late 80’s, I grew up with the saying “knowledge is power”. These verses take it one step further. Wisdom and understanding gives you life. In today’s world people are crazy smart. We carry around in our pocket the answer to any question we might have. What we lack is the wisdom and understanding of that knowledge.

We live in a world that the average person is unhealthy, overweight, and stressed. If I was to place an apple and a bag of french fries in front of you, which would you choose to eat? Wisdom, understanding, and sound judgment should lead you to the apple. For the apple is nutritious and tasty. Most pick the french fries. You know the apple is healthier (knowledge) but you pick the french fries.

In not using sound judgement, most of america lives in fear of health complications (diabetes, heart attacks, cancer). In my years of helping people lose weight, one of the first things they notice is that once the weight comes off their sleep gets better.

God wants us to have the best life we can. He knows that by focusing on wisdom, understanding, and sound judgement, that stress and the physical effects it can cause (weight gain and lack of sleep), will be easy for you to handle.
