#FEARLESS365 is a yearlong study of God’s commandment to us to live without fear. For 365 days, we will focus on one scripture and volunteers from all over the world will share their personal thoughts and what God has shared with them on the specific verse. For more info… go here.

say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you.”

Isaiah 35:4

To those with fearful hearts, an unknown future must be terrifying.  To those with assurance of Christ in their lives, it’s not scary because we know God has a plan and works everything according to His will.  This scripture verse you sent me couldn’t have come at a better time.  I have lost faith in the American justice system because my brother is in prison for something he didn’t do, put there by a vindictive ex-girlfriend.  I am really struggling with forgiveness as I fight my flesh and the devil’s temptations on a daily basis as I wonder when God is going to come to put an end to injustice.

And then this verse reminds me to be strong, to stand firm in the faith, to not fear, because God will come with a vengeance in His own time.  I am no longer fearful about what my brother is experiencing in prison because I am confident that God will deliver on His promises.    I am also reminded that I can share this verse with my brother, who is a non-Christian, that to not fear, to be strong, that God will come with divine retribution to save you.  Hopefully, that will give him comfort and hope.
