Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

Matthew 10:28

As someone who has battled insecurities my whole life this scripture really resonates with me. I have been a Christian for over 25 years and to this day I find it hard to truly give ALL of my insecurities to God. I know that looking back on the past 25 years I have not only grown in my faith but also in the strength that I have that could have only come from God.  I have found that soft-hearted people like myself tend to be the ones that allow their insecurities be more controlling in our everyday lives.

Because of my reverent fear of all God’s power I have stepped so far outside my comfort zones in so many aspects of my life I have become the woman I am today. I now think of the personal challenges of stepping outside my comfort zone as new sometimes daily adventures. What others say to or about me does not effect me as much as it once did, my days are all about making sure that I do my best to glorify God. It can be so easy to let others opinions really get to me in way that can be damaging to my faith and personal growth, but taking the time to remind myself that it is only God that matters, He is the one in control and allowing things to happen for me to learn from. And I am learning a lot and loving who He is molding me into.
