Anxiety is the opposite of fun, and when we struggle with it, we just want it to go away. Unfortunately, some of the things we’re used to doing, even things that we do because they lessen our anxiety in the moment, can actually make anxiety worse.
Just as doing all the recommended things to maintain physical health doesn’t guarantee you’ll never get sick, there is no fool-proof formula to keep your mind from going sideways. But there are many things we can do to give our minds their best chance to be as healthy as possible.
