“Decide what to be and go be it!”
When we decide to make the decision to find out who we are as an individual and change our life for the better, there are usually many situations and life choices that we have made that have brought us to this cross roads within our lives. For others it could be they may feel a sense of emptiness or questioning one’s sense of purpose for the future or as if there is something more or missing within their life and are looking at ways to discover a new interest in life,
Finding out about who you are isn’t always an easy road. You’re working in a hectic day job or juggling your families needs that takes up a lot of your time and energy and while you know it’s not what you love, you can’t even manage cooking your own dinner that night, let alone discovering a new interest.
When you decide to find out who you are, you’re making an important commitment to yourself. You’re saying at you’re a top priority and you’ll be finding things in life that you truly enjoy, and not try to impress or please other people. When you have a true passion for life you never feel like life is a chore. Your whole attitude and personality may even shift for the better.
Here are some ways on how to discover new interests, and finding out about who you are and to live the live you truly deserve. Who knows where it may lead!!
- Surround yourself with Passionate People
Passionate people are filled with energy and enthusiasm. These qualities are infectious, so by surrounding yourself with passionate people you’ll get a fire inside for life too. There may be things they do which may provide you with inspiration and ideas for things you want to try. They can provide insights into how they discovered their passions and open you up to how you might discover one too.
- Expand your comfort zone
When finding things, you’re passionate about, it can often mean trying new things you might not be good at or afraid to try. Even if it doesn’t turn into a passion, often the experience will still be worth trying.
- Paying attention to your thoughts
Where do your thoughts take you to when you let your mind wander? If you end up daydreaming about doing something or going somewhere, your mind might be telling you that you’re interested in doing it.
- Meeting new people
Meeting new people can bring new personalities into your world they you may not have considered before. They have their own likes and dislikes, can have different ways of seeing the world you may not have considered before. Eventually someone is going to introduce you to a new passion. When we constantly meet new people, they will ask you to tell them about yourself. Sometimes if you draw a blank on several occasions, it will put more pressure on you to find that passion or interest in your life.
